New Flash Animation!

Hello everyone!

OK, after several edits and modifications, I'm finally ready to share my latest Flash: Rebirth appreciation animation.

This one is titled "Welcome Back, Barry" and as you will see...there are a couple of heroes who make an appearance to welcome Barry's return to the scene.

I apologize for the long link below, but it's the only webspace I have to place a 1.7 meg Flash/swf. file online. YouTube doesn't accept swfs and converting it to a mov. file enlarged it considerably (167mb). :o

For now, this URL is where the animation can be seen.

Enjoy!

It's good, but I would've played this music in the background.

Haha...yeah. At the end, perhaps Barry should have said "I just got back from my morning stroll" or something to that effect. :D

Thanks MaxSchrek. I wouldn't go so far as to describe it as the "best" tribute to Barry's return, but I'd accept "creatively different." :p

My 1st draft had Aquaman leaping out of the 1st water scene, but since he's currently awaiting his own rebirth, I had to remove him from the animation.

I also had Batman in the scene (when Barry runs through the city), but once again...I had to remove his footage as well, since he isn't in the DCU landscape, at the moment.

Thanks, glad you liked it, BestBuy.

As far as your suggestion, I agree. If I owned and published a comic title, I'd animate previews for the book, using ONLY the artwork appearing within the book. As much as I appreciate a good animation, I don't think there's a market for "motion comics," but I do believe in the marketability of animated previews.

Could you imagine subscribing to your favorite book and a month before the next issue hit the stands, you received a 15-30 second, animated preview on your iPhone or computer? I think that would spread and become viral just as quickly as something like...a YouTube video about dancing cats, (nothing against singing cats, mind you). When I win the lottery and launch my own comic titles, I'll advertise them by animating previews across iPhones, Kindels, computers, etc.

;)
