Wow... all the care and attention that went into building up the whole "who is Starman?" mystery and Ross blows it before the first issue is out?

Eh, he didn't really reveal too much. It could still be Supernova, could still be Sylvester Pemberton from another reality, could be Thom Kallor from an alternate future, etc. Or Ross could be lying or intentionally misleading us. Guess we'll have to read to find out.

The last character I’m noticing on the cover of Justice Society of America #1 is Obsidian because you get a table of all these other characters you get to do in full, and all you get to draw for him is his floating eyes. Will you ever draw the full Obsidian?

ROSS: I have no idea. I don’t know that that would be the case. Obsidian being put into the JSA is a lot like—and I’m speaking for Geoff here, which he may not agree with—but it’s him grabbing a character that’s just going to get molested further in other writer’s hands. So he’s grabbing him and putting him in the group so he at least can be shepherding this character that belongs in this association. Maybe he’ll make sure that no other writers get any “fun, creative” ideas with him.

Is this a dig at Marc Andreyko and what he was doing in Manhunter with regards to Obsidian? Throwing around terms like molested... *sigh* I respect that Alex Ross is a talented creator of comics who has done alot for the industry but lets just say I'd never want to split a pitcher of beer with the man.

Yeah, I found that "molested" comment a little out of line, and bit prejudicial.

Owww!!! That hurts!

I hope that doesn't mean that Todd is going to get "straightened out."

Hmmmnnn... I thought Ross was gay?

And Todd's handling by Marc has been some of the best I've seen.

wow, i really had a hard time with that "molested" comment, i really hope that wasn't a shot at Marc...
as for the starman thing...well i still have questions, and we still need awnsers so there's still enough mystery there for me

Well.... Alex Ross just went down a few notches on my respect meter. That was totally out of line.

Wow...what's with Ross taking stabs at other creators?? A sly jab as he doesn't name names, but still. He's an amazing artist, and everyone knows that he's opinionated, but geez, in company creator bashing is kinda low, IMO anyway.

I'm not looking to blow it out of proportion, but hey, it's there plain as day. How can you miss it???
Does it detract from my excitement over reading this book??? Hell no!!
Does it no longer make me a fan of Ross' work?? Hell no!!
I just don't really see the need to slam other creators. Never have. Just me, maybe.
