Default Baltimore 2008 DC Nation: Flash News

1. Q: How will Barry Allen react to the modern heroes when he returns?

A: Johns: “Part of the fun of exploring Barry Allen is seeing Barry get along with all of the other DC heroes – in a modern setting, he did get along with Bruce Wayne, and Hal, and didn’t with Green Arrow.” Johns said that both Rebirth and Flash will be very science based, but will also blend in the quasi-science of the Speed Force; and will allow readers to learn a lot about Barry Allen before the lightning hit – what did he do, and why did he wear a bow time?”

2. Q: Will Bart Allen be a Black Lantern?

A: Johns: “No.”

3. Q: Who’s in the lightning rod the Legion has?

A: Johns: “We will see that in Legion of 3 Worlds #3.”

Yeah, the spelling in that article was atrocious. Bow time? Pretty sure it's supposed to say bow tie. Other than that Bart's coming back so I'm excited.

Another interesting Flash note...

"One book spinning out of summer event series is “Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns.” When the time finally comes to execute Sinestro, the Red Lanterns want to do it themselves. Another is “Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds,” currently ongoing. This book sets up the future direction of the Legion. Not only that, but events playing out of Geoff Johns’ recent Legion stories in “Superman” and “Justice Society of America” will have repercussions in the contemporary DCU, especially for The Flash."

The secret of the bow tie. I love it. Maybe Iris has a bow tie fetish?

There's a Flash section here? Where is it? ;-)

They need to give the bow ties and crew cut a rest. He had them because it was the 1950s and he was killed off before DC modernised their line as a whole.

Actually, Barry hadn't worn a bowtie or crewcut during much of the late 70's and Mid 80's. For some reason, this is how many modern artists like to draw him. I agree, no bowties for Barry unless he's wearing a tux in a wedding or some where it's appropriate. The crewcut could easily evolve into some other modern hair cut that's short and similar.

Barry Allen and Jimmy Olsen...bringing the bow tie into the fashion mainstream. "It's hip to be... square?"

Question: when all those that your opinion differs from are gone, do you get lonely talking to yourself? I guess you wouldn't if you were Mob Rule.
