Default I might have an idea about what Bendis thinks about Barry returning.

But I have known to be wrong.

That was from USM btw.

Geoff will just have to frag him more on the 360 in the FPS of current popularity.

Reborn was a Captain America title, so I think he's poking just as much fun at Marvel.

Im amazed Brian didnt need 5 more pages of dialogue to take a shot at GJ.

And furthermore, I'm shocked people still read the Ultimate Universe post Ultimatum.

Judging that the character is a woman, I wonder if this wasn't the result of another joke between him and Gail.

That is brilliant! I wish I would of thought of that first.

Seriously, the most overrated writer in comics just probably has a case of sour grapes. At least Geoff's books sell well because of story trumping hype. Not the other way around.

The new Ultimate Spider-Man is awesome. The art and energy reminds me of the classic Impulse series.

What's keeping me from trying out the new Ultimate titles is the $3.99 cover price... unless they're extra-sized issues. Are they?

Couldn't tell you. The way companies pad most "extra-sized" issues, I don't usually notice any additional story anyway.

Or maybe it's just a friendly barb between two guys who have always gotten along with one another pretty well. Not all trash-talking is mean-spirited.

Aye, didn't they host a Bendis vs Johns panel at one of the cons? Don't they play Modern Warfare 2 together online? They're cool with one another, and I doubt very much Bendis has any grapes other then the ones his massive success has bought him. The guy went from McDonalds to consulting on gigantic movies. With that kind of acceleration I doubt very much he begrudges anyone in the industry anything at all.

Friendly barb.
