Seriously...how is EVS still getting work?
If ANYBODY else was THIS late with their work...they'd get fired.

I have been reading Flash since the Flash #1 of Wally's series. I never missed an issue...spinoff series (Impulse) a crossover...and elseworld story involving the Scarlet Speedster. If this is the kind of disrespect I can expect from the new series I am just going to chuck it all in. Why should I still read the series? I am sure Geoff cares about the reader....but it really seems to me that EVS doesn't.
GL: Rebirth was really delayed (if memory serves) due to an injury...this is just disrepectful to the fan...

Sorry for my rant...but this has been bugging me for months...and this is too much for me.

Okay everyone, let's please cease the hostilities, both to each other and to the creators.

Once again, we mods and admins want to let those of you who are disappointed and frustrated by Flash Rebirth's delays to express your disappointment and frustration, but of course, we don't want the thread to descend into "grab your pitchfork" tirades nor do we want people to get on each other's cases about the importance/unimportance of the delays.

Let's all just attempt to get along, please. Thank you.

One thing that surprises me if it is related to Blackest Night #8 or the Secret Files is why wasn't it resolicited. I mean originally Rebirth was only 5 issues and another issue was added. Today in the previews, Superman Secret Origins was resolicited and "previous orders were cancelled", so if it was related to connect to something in comics, why would it not be resolicited instead of delayed to January and now to March?

As Kevin pointed out, The Flash: Rebirth mini-series was originally announced as six issues ((http://www.newsarama.com/comics/120831-9Books.html), then changed to five issues, and then back to six issues. Also, I'd like to add that it's amazing that it will have taken a whole year to finish a six issue mini-series, which was announced back in July 2008 (http://www.newsarama.com/comics/0807...h-rebirth.html).

It's not amazing. I draw an issue every two months. 6 X 2 =12. And I started drawing it, aside from promotional art, last November.

This March date is strange. The book will be finished this week. I think you'll see it get bumped back to January in a few days.

Thanks,
EVS

Hi Ethan! I'm sorry about the amazing comment. I just couldn't see how a book that was announced back in July 2008 took so long to finish. Thank you for setting the record straight and the update about issue #6.

Just out of curiosity, can you tell us why DC decided to announce the mini-series back in July 2008 if you didn't even start drawing the first issue until November 2008? I thought DC usually gave artists more time to get a couple of issues in the can before announcing a mini/maxi-series.

Thanks again,
SNW

With this in mind, why was it solicited as a monthly series, rather than bi-monthly?

Thanks for chiming in.

Given what we already knew, I was sure the delay had to be something other than art related - barring a serious injury on your part - which I'm very glad isn't the case.

In the mean time I think people should spend more time worrying about the fact they canceled the "Best of What's My Line" DVD.

Nah, none of that stuff is anyone's business. I think DC gave us plenty of time, and that's all fans need to know. The buck stops here.

There was some health stuff around the release of issue #3, I was having chest pains due to a horrible lifestyle and diet. In May, I joined the gym and got a personal trainer. I've lost 40 pounds and continue with a strict diet and exercise regimen that's done wonders for my health. No more chest pains. I recommend it!

And yes, they shouldn't have canceled that dvd.

I think it looks as though somebody erroneously updated Rebirth #6 with the date they are actually releasing the Flash Secret Files......

Ethan do a couple pages for that book please.....................

Well, that's outstanding if it becomes a reality.
