This looks REALLY good. I was already stoked with Paul Levitz being the writer, but Yildiray Cinar's art looks incredible.

I agree with you: Right to the top of the stack this goes!

i'm thrilled! can't wait!!!

i just hope the usual nerds won't attack the book because of some possible anal continuity bulls**t. i already read on the net a lot of (aprioristic) complaints about this kind of stuff, which sounded two times unbelievable to me also because the book isn't out yet so what do you know?

i'm just happy the concept which made me fall in love with the book is back. i'm sure the stories will be fun, and that's all i care about

Just read the preview. It looks great and I am even more hypped about the new series.
The art is great and Paul's writing seems to be like in the old days. Which is breath of fresh air !

Far less enthusiastic after reading issue #1, but still have high hopes for this incarnation of the Legion.

A bang up start to the series! Interesting to see who was chosen to be the GL of Sector 2814...

The one thing I hope for more than anything is that Paul has some form of interaction with fans. I have always loved his writing, and the artwork looks great, but I always enjoyed the way the Paul, Dick, Roy and others connected with the readers.

Finally, a Legion comic!

I enjoyed it, and it was the first comic to have the right feel since the Baxter series ended.

Great Great issue, I have not been a Legion fan in a while, but this issue was near perfect.

I think it's too soon to say how this book will turn out. My only guarded comment is that I found the characters a little verbose.

Agreed. I felt pretty "meh" after finishing this one.

I had high hopes for Cinar, and I think his character work is really strong and dynamic... but the man doesn't love too many backgrounds, now, does he? He makes the Legionnaires look solid... but the pages still felt thin to me. So consider me 50/50, jury still out there.

As for the writing... Saturn Girl's thoughts just didn't seem to flow to me. And I thought the pacing between "end of a world" versus "Earth Man gets a power ring" to be WAY uneven.

I'm not trying to sound harsh. This book (and ADVENTURE) get my $ every month as I'm a life-long Legion fan... but I guess this sort of felt like a whimper, even with a world dying. I compare it to THE LEGION #1, right after LEGION LOST, which had a strong "you're in for quite a ride" feel to it.

I thought Paul was freakin' ON POINT!! I'm a pretty recent convert, but this totally had the feel of the early-mid 80's stuff. And it felt great. And the call to fan action/discussion was awesome too. That's one thing the periodicals have over tradewaiting.
